The energy of arc welding is transmitted by wires. Improper selection, aging of insulation, incorrect connection, etc. will cause the wires to burn or cause other fires. (1) Wire overload: The welding circuit is a large-capacity power supply line with a current of tens to hundreds of amps. In this way, higher requirements are imposed on the connection and selection of the wires. Generally, multi-strand copper cables are used. Sometimes, because the welding personnel cannot find a suitable cable or do not understand, they will temporarily replace the ordinary insulated wire with a small cross-sectional area. This will cause the welding wire to overload and heat up. The lighter wire burns and the heavy one ignites. Combustible materials around the wires and electric shock. (2) Welding cable burning: If the welding cable is used for a long time, the insulation layer will deteriorate and the infrared performance will be reduced. At the same time, due to mechanical damage or corrosion of harmful substances, some of the insulation layer of the welding cable will lose its original insulation ability. In this way, when the welding is performed, the positive and negative wires crossing together will cause leakage or short circuit, which will cause the cable to burn.
